“Three years after I graduated from the most prestigious law school in Canada, I asked my dad to help me get a job at the crappiest mall in Toronto. My therapist had advised me to find an “easy job” that would get me out of the house to escape the debilitating depression I’d fallen into following my mom’s fatal fentanyl overdose.”
